According to BNN, the Directorate of Alternative Empowerment, Deputy for Community Empowerment, BNN RI, and PT. Bintang Toedjoe hosted a training on red ginger growing on Wednesday (25/8) at Balai RW 04, Kalibanteng Kulon District, Semarang.
According to Teguh Iman Wahyudi, S.H., M.H., Director of Alternative Empowerment of BNN RI, in his presentation, the training with PT. Bintang Toedjoe is a kind of corporate social responsibility to contribute to the Prevention and Eradication of Narcotics Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (P4GN).
Meanwhile, Drs. Hernowo Budi Luhur, S.H., M.Sc., Head of the Semarang City Agriculture Service, expressed gratitude and pride in his statement for BNN's efforts to empower the community, particularly in drug-prone regions.
"The red ginger cultivation instruction aligns with the Mayor of Semarang's vision and objective." He wants Semarang to be able to return to being the primary biopharmaceutical producer since this area was formerly a producer of spices whose quality was measured," stated the Agriculture Service's Head.
"If you want to be successful in producing red ginger, the parameters are simple: be patient and loving when caring for it," Hernowo stated.
Hopefully, this red ginger cultivation program will provide an alternative in drug-prone regions to develop awareness and insight into the world of business, leading to increased welfare of families and communities in the future.
